In short: We don't save your screen or your questions. We use them once to get you an answer, then they're gone.
Open Source Client
The macOS client is fully open source. The code that runs on your Mac is available for anyone to inspect, audit, or contribute to. We believe AI tools that see your screen should be transparent.
Reading text from your screen happens right on your computer. We only send what's needed to get your answer.
Nothing Saved
What you see on screen and what you ask gets used once to create your response, then it's gone.
Secure Connection
Your data is protected while traveling to our servers—like a sealed envelope that only we can open.
Your Data Stays Yours
We don't use what you share to teach AI or improve our models. Your conversations are private.
Open Source Client
The macOS client is open source on GitHub. See what code runs on your Mac.

Common Questions
Can TheQuickFox see my screen all the time?
No—only when you ask it to. TheQuickFox only looks at your screen when you press Control twice. The rest of the time, it can't see anything.
What happens to my screen after I get an answer?
It's deleted immediately. We use it once to create your response, then it's gone. We don't save it anywhere.
Is it safe to use with private documents?
Use your judgment. We don't store your data, but it does pass through AI services to generate your answer. You can use the Network Monitor to see exactly what gets sent.
Does TheQuickFox follow privacy laws?
Yes. We follow UAE data protection laws and GDPR principles—meaning we only collect what we need and don't keep it longer than necessary.
How do I delete my data?
Your screen content and questions aren't stored, so there's nothing to delete there. For your account info, just email support@thequickfox.com.
What does "open source" mean for me?
The macOS client—the app that runs on your computer—is publicly available on GitHub. Security researchers, developers, or anyone curious can audit what the app does, how screenshots are handled, and what data is sent.
How AI Generates Your Answers
To create your response, we send your question and screen context to AI services. They use it only to generate your answer—nothing else. We don't share your personal info with them for ads or marketing.
